Hirta Socks
Hirta, meaning “hairy” in Latin, is used as an epithet in botany to designate hairy or fuzzy flowers. The Hirta Socks, worked by pairing sock yarn with a strand of silk mohair, feature textured, fluffy flowers and make a comforting fall accessory.
These socks are knitted from the cuff down with a ribbed, scalloped cuff, a modified kite heel, and a wedge toe. The pattern provides instructions to work a regular or a high instep. A flower motif made up of bobbles and lace is worked on the front, framed by cable details.
The pattern notes are for the sport weight version (fingering + silk mohair). A separate pattern for the fingering weight version is also available upon purchase.

Sizes 1 (2, 3) (4, 5) correspond to a sock of 48 (52, 56) (60, 64) sts and are designed to fit a leg/foot circumference of approx. 18.5 (20, 21) (22.5, 24) cm / 7.25 (7.75, 8.25) (8.75, 9.5)“.
Finished measurements:
