These pillows are made with tapestry crochet. You’ll need to know:

  • how to change colors
  • how to carry yarn
  • how to sew two squares together with sc or whip stitch

While these are called “his and hers”, you can absolutely adapt them for the couple you make them for (his and his or hers and hers).

You’ll need:
300 gr. yarn of each color (I used white and gray from We Love Yarn)
2 pillows (40x40 cm)
Hook size 3.5 mm
Scissors
Needle

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet

This pattern is written in US terms.

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 19 sc x 21 rows

You will need approximately 200 – 300 grams of each color to make two pillows. I used DK weight yarn. If you use a different yarn weight, you might need less or more. Use the hook size that best fits your yarn and check your gauge. I used a 3.5 mm hook. If your gauge doesn’t match mine, try a different hook size.
