The humans have been bugging Sharon EXTRA BAD this year so she bought a cruise line and named her ship accordingly, and she sets sail on July 18. You will receive a couple of passport choices in the Pre-clue as well as coloring graphics to try out your colors. Remember that this is a mystery! This is, however, a pretty straightforward pattern, as Sharon has been on her “Last damn ever nerve” for the past several months and wanted something enjoyable but not too complicated. An intermediate beginner should be fine with this.

Disclaimers
There may be a couple of bad words floating around, vaping or smoking references (you go find a cat and lecture them about vaping), and Sharon has a selection of self defense devices which may not be suitable for children. Her ship is also equipped with a rocket launcher “Just in case Chad, pirates, or the IRS shows up” so please be aware of all of this before purchasing.

What you need

1: Three skeins of fingering weight yarn, 400 yards each, US 5 and 6, 24” or longer needles, or whatever you like to use for shawls. (Note that if you get a Miss Babs Yet set, you will need to size down a needle size.) You can make it larger with an extra skein of Color C.

  • Speckles are great
  • One color with strongish contrast is good (Sharon’s was Color A)
  • One variegated is ok but try not to let the variegated colors blend too much with a solid color you’ve chosen.

2: Passport for you and/or all of your crew members who are coming on board – provided for you in the Pre-Clue.

If dogs are coming, they have to agree to things like not humping things on deck and sign the waiver. They also have to use the dog passport but other than that, they will have regular privileges. If they don’t follow the rules they will be yeeted, per Sharon. I think she means into the water, not to an airport, so be aware of this.

Note that there are always many questions about choosing colors. You can also post your colors in the Casapinka Group here. And remember that it’s a Mystery KAL, so there will be many elements of surprise and if uncertainty gets you too upset, wait for the end to knit it.

Sharon used the kit on the top left but the background for the speckled is actually a light blue, even though it looks kind of white in the photo. We love this kit but Miss Babs has a bunch of great combinations here.
