One summer some years ago, my husband and I decided to go on a hike on a local hiking path not far from our home. We took the bus to our destination. After just over an hour, we arrived in Kisa.
The first part of the trek was straight up the small alpine hill in Kisa. It was not long, but enough for us to get ourselves a decent warm-up. The rest of this morning’s hike was a little more manageable. We followed the path into the sparse, majestic forest.
All of a sudden, we came to a small marsh where lush green moss, grew.
We stopped to revel in the awe-inspiring landscape when we saw something golden orange in the middle of all the green.
We were genuinely surprised when we noticed the cluster of cloudberries thriving in the middle of the mire.
Neither of us had seen cloudberries so far south before. Of course, we waded into the marsh. To the juicy and bright berries. We picked them carefully and enjoyed them slowly. Seldom, have we enjoyed better berries than those bright cloudberries.

Gauge
The socks are knit with a tight gauge to create a durable fabric.
36 sts and 45 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in stocking stitch and pattern after blocking
Make sure both rnd and stitch gauge is correct. That will ensure your socks fit.
I knit with a tight gauge, so you might need to go down a needle size to obtain gauge.

Needles & Notions
4 stitchmarkers
1 unique stitch marker as BOR m

Tapestry needle
Needles to knit a small circumference to obtain gauge.

For the sample, an 80 cm / 32” circular needle size 2.25 mm / US1 was used. The pattern can easily be worked with double pointed needles or 23 cm / 9” circulars.
