This is a new hockey hat pattern inspired by Seattle’s awesome name-reveal. Release the Kraken!

There is a small and large size, so you should measure your head and see which size fits you most closely. The hat has some ease if knitted with intarsia or ladderback jacquard, but much less if you choose to knit it stranded.

My sample project didn’t have the perfect colors and the colors really make or break this project. Do your best to match your team’s colors with your yarn.

The main blue color requires about half a ball of Caron Simply Soft. The teal/seafoam for the waves and the red for the tentacles require about about 1/3 of a ball of the Caron Simply Soft for ladderback jacquard, but yardage will likely be much less if you choose to do intarsia. The white requires less than 1/4 of a ball of the Red Heart.
