The range of colours in Malabrigo Worsted and Rios is stunning, this cowl uses just one skein, but you will want to make more than one!! I have also used one skein of The Uncommon Thread Lush worsted which works really well..

Worked in the round with a simple textured pattern, this is very quick to knit which also makes it a handy gift knit…if knitted in Worsted it will produce a soft and warm cowl which holds its shape well, Rios works equally well but will produce a more drapey fabric.

The samples I have made are in The Uncommon Thread Lush worsted shade ‘Meadow Grass’ Malabrigo Worsted shade 74 ‘Polvoriento’ (a pinky peach) and Pearl a mid grey and in Rios shade 856 ‘Azules’ (blues with a hint of violet). The longer version is made with Town End Alpacas Alpaca with Shetland Aran using 5mm needles.

Regular cowl - finished size after blocking 11.5” wide x 10” high when laid flat

Errata
There is a typo in the original version of the pattern, row 5 of main pattern should read k5,p5 in brackets
