Holly Cat Cowl
Inspired by my love for cats and dedicated to a sweet tuxedo cat name Holly, the Holly Cat cowl is a simple pattern that combines knitting with stranded colour work and a little beading if you’re up for it. Don’t worry, there is also a dog chart for all the dog lovers out there.
Gauge
25 sts and 40rows = 4” (10cm) in charted section after blocking
Needles
3.25mm and 3.5mm circular needles (12 inch cables)

Contrast Colour (CC, Cat or Dog): 1 ball of Sandnes Garn Sunday (4381 Dark Fudge, 100% Merino, Fingering weight, 50g /1.8oz, 257yds/235m) and 1 ball of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (4381 Dark Fudge, 57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 231y/212m) held together.
Main Colour (CC, Cat or Dog): 1 ball of Sandnes Garn Sunday (1050 putty, 100% Merino, Fingering weight, 50g /1.8oz, 257yds/235m) and 1 ball of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (1050 Putty, 57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 231y/212m) held together.
