Inspired by my love for cats and dedicated to a sweet tuxido cat name Holly. The Holly Cat Project Bag is a simple pattern that combines knitting with stranded colour work and a little beading if you’re up for it. Each section has enough to keep you interested as you knit your way through this pattern…right to the tail end. I hope these cute project bags bring you joy!

This pattern has a small (sock) bag size and a larger project size. You can do either size and use either chart, CAT or DOG.

Pattern has several helpful videos

Yarn Requirements
QUEENSLAND Kathmandu Fingering (85% Wool, 10% Silk, 5% Cashmere) in two colours.

This pattern is perfect for using up all those leftover yarn scraps! You can go wild and make each colourwork section a different shade, turning your project into a rainbow of cats or dogs. Or, if you’re more of a minimalist, you can stick to two colours.

Want to mix things up even more? Feel free to swap in a different yarn weight to make your bag bigger or smaller. Honestly, the possibilities are endless—get creative and have fun!
