This pattern is available from payhip.com for $6.00.

Hollywood and Vine is now available as a single pattern on Etsy and Payhip. It is created through the use of cables, twisted stitches, leaves, and a lifted yarnover knot stitch. It is elegant, light, and warm. Large enough to use as a wrap or even as a lap blanket.

Skills Needed: YO, kfb, pfb, and kpk increases and ssk, k2tog and sl1-k2tog-psso decreases, using cable needle. Instructions for cables and the lifted yarnover knot stitch are provided. Shawl instructions are provided as charts or line-by-line written instructions.

Finished Measurements: 65.5 in. 166.5 cm wingspan, 47 in. 119.5 cm sides, 40 in. 101.5 cm height.

Yarn: 5 skeins Malabrigo Arroyo (DK/Sport; 100% Superwash Merino; 335 yds /100 g].

Needles: US size 5 3.75 mm 40 in. 100 cm or 60 in. 150 cm circular needle for main part of shawl.
2 (two) US size 6 4.0 mm 40 in. 100 cm or 60 in. 150 cm circular needles for knitted-on border.

Gauge (after soaking and blocking): 20 sts and 34 rows = 4” 10 cm in Leaf & Vine Motif (begins on pg. 4 and charted on pg. 14). Gauge does not matter greatly; of importance is that you like the appearance and density of the fabric.

The version shown was knit in LLC DK weight yarn (now discontinued) in the colorway Golden Hour. It knits up beautifully in Malabrigo Arroyo.
