Kiyomi Burgin channels her inner scout with this fabulous square shawl, taking her inspiration from Wes Anderson’s film Moonrise Kingdom. Utility was a big motivator - she says you can wear it as a neckerchief, use it for wrapping up a baby, or for a picnic! From a central square, you knit outwards in the round in gorgeous Fleurville 4ply - and you can change up the shades to suit - there are ten beautiful nature-inspired colors to combine.

The Honesty Rock Shawl is worked by first knitting a central square back and forth from a provisional cast on. Stitches are then picked up from along the edges of the square and the striped border is worked outwards in the round. The shawl is finished with a simple garter stitch edging. The centre square is worked at a slightly tighter gauge for structure.
