A simple short scarf, worked in Honeycomb stitch. It features a cross-over lapped front which is buttoned in place with 3 shell buttons.

On size 7 needles, Berroco Blackstone Tweed yarn makes quite a dense fabric which will stand up on the neck. Just use larger needles if you prefer the neckwarmer to be softer or more floppy. Gauge is not critical in this pattern.

I used almost one and a half balls of the yarn, it is soft and beautiful with the gold sparkles, but a bit more nobbly than I like. The honeycomb pattern would be more pronounced in a plain yarn.

I made this to match Interweave Knits Beekeeper Slouch.
