Named “Honeycrisp Mitts” because fall in Ohio is not only apple season, but the slight chill in the air makes a pair of fingerless mitts a welcome addition to your wardrobe on a crisp day.

These mitts feature a graceful cable with wrapped stitches on the back. The mitts have three optional braids and a fully gussetted thumb.

The pattern is both written and charted and photo tutorials are included for producing the wrapped stitches and also for closing the braid when the mitts are complete.

This pattern has been test knit and both the test knitters and I found that we used between 110 and 120 yds for each pair of mitts, meaning that we would be able to get two full pairs of mittens from a 250 yd skein with just enough yarn left over that we weren’t afraid of running out.

Happy Knitting!
