Inspired by the shutters displayed in Hong Kong doorways, this shawl was designed to be made with the wonderful Merino Silk Lace by Sweet Georgia. Any Lace weight yarn would be suitable.

This pattern is charted only - no written instructions are available for the lace designs. There are four different lace patterns which I designed to smoothly transition from one design to the next.

The shawl was designed to be knitted with two colours, the main colour uses one skein (100g), and the contrast colour half (50g)

Size:
188cm by 53cm | 74” by 21”

Not many stitch techniques are required for this transforming lace design. You will need to know, or learn, the following techniques:

  • Yo - Yarn over
  • SSK - Slip, slip, knit
  • K2tog - Knit 2 together

Sample used Charcoal for MC, and Saffron for CC
