This capelet simultaneously reminds me of something Legolas might throw on on a chilly day in Mirkwood, an accessory a Margaret Atwood character might shrug on before dismantling the patriarchy, and a really cool modern shrug I recently came across in a Glamour magazine edition about trendy styles for fall. I can’t decide which reference I like best.

The design is very simple- it is essentially a rectangle with a hood added. The intermediate designation mostly comes from the shaping of the hood. Please note also that you can easily scale up or down the pattern by adding stitches or rows.

So whether you’re solving middle earth orc problems, fighting for female equality, or just want to feel snuggly in the fall, hope you enjoy this capelet!
