Hoot
A beanie hat to match my Swhooter and Don’t Give a Hoot mittens. Two sizes included, for different gauge/yarn.
Gauge: - approximately 23 stitches and 34 rows = 10cm (with heavier fingering-weight yarn, about 360m / 100g). That’s the gauge I got knitting the smaller size for an average adult head. If your gauge is significantly smaller, or if you want more room, or plan to line your hat, knit the larger size. Please check your gauge before you decide which size you’ll be knitting.
Materials:
- 50 g (200 m) of fingering-weight yarn in each MC (dark) and CC (light) is enough for both sizes.
- circular needles, 2.5mm or whatever size you need to get the gauge.
- one pompom; either handmade, or from some craft-supplies store.
– tapestry needle.
