Abbreviations/Skills Needed
• Ch: chain
• Sc: single crochet
• Sl: slip stitch
• Hdc: half-double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Inc: increase – work 2 sts in the same st
• Dec: decrease – sc2tog - sc 2 sts together
• St/sts: stitch/stitches
• Rnd/rnds: round/rounds

Whip stitch/running stitch can be used to join the pieces. You can use whichever you prefer.

Materials and Supplies
• Worsted weight yarn in dark brown, medium brown, light brown, black, orange, and white
• Size F crochet hook, size H crochet hook
• Small amount of polyester stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker (optional, but recommended for marking the beginning/end of rnds)
• 6x16” cylindrical pillow, preferably with polyester stuffing for washability
o If you’d like to make a Hooty sham for a longer pillow, feel free to do so, just add more rnds to the main tube in dark brown until it fits the desired pillow
