The sweater is worked from the top down. First, a shoulder panel with a neck opening is knitted. The stitches are cast on using a provisional cast-on, leaving the stitches on both sides of the panel live. This creates a seamless transition to the sleeves. Stitches are then picked up for the front and back pieces. The pieces are shaped with increases and joined to form the body, which is worked in the round. The sleeves are worked directly from the armholes, and finally the neckband is knitted.
The sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 20 cm of positive ease. This means that if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size M. If you are between sizes, your choice depends on the fit you prefer. Choose the smaller size if you would like a slightly more fitted look, or the larger size if you prefer a roomier, more oversized fit.
