Slightly spooky, slightly inspired by Poe’s story. These socks require 50 grams of sock yarn each of two colors. Due to the length of the colorwork pattern repeat the socks comes in one size. A wider or narrower fit can still be accomplished by substituting yarn and needles for a smaller or larger gauge. A few of the floats in the colorwork are long-ish and may need to be tucked to prevent catching.

Colorwork section includes both a chart and written instructions.

You will need:

50 g sock yarn each in two different colors
Sample uses Madelinetosh Twist Light in colors Snake (A) and Celadon (B).

Size 1US needles for knitting in the round (double pointed needles, or longer circular needle for magic loop method, as preferred). You may choose to use a smaller or larger needle to get correct gauge, but a size 1 is a good place to start.

Scissors and a blunt needle for finishing.

One or two stitch markers, optional.

Gauge: 36 sts over 4” in stockinette stitch.

Size: Women’s M-L / Men’s S-M.
