Paired with the Dragonfly Fibers “Streets of Laredo” fundraising colorway, this very simple pattern makes a soft, huggable doll that is ageless, genderless, incredibly sweet, and OH SO HUGGABLE!

Very customizable for any skill level. If you can cast on and knit in the round, you’ve got this! One skein of the Traveller DK yarn will make 2 dolls in the size described in the pattern. A larger or smaller doll is easily made just by adjusting the cast on number. Make a whole family!

The pattern is free, so please consider purchasing this fundraising colorway to make a HUGS doll for someone you love. Or raffling the doll(s) to continue the fundraising effort.

What are we fundraising for? From Dragonfly Fibers:
Dragonfly will donate 50% of Streets of Laredo sales to Solve It Today in support of their efforts to help children and families retained at the southern border. Essentially, Jordana and Margaret are filling up a truck or two with badly needed items and driving it down to southern Texas. If they can’t generate enough publicity to get to the detention centers, they will go to a “retention center” (where the migrants go once released from the detention centers) in Laredo. These kind and clever women are working closely with Catholic Charities, Laredo to ensure that they can deliver these items to those in greatest need.

The list of items is on their site. Solve It Today are partnered with 501c3 organization KindWorks for any tax deductible financial donations folks might want to make to help cover the cost of the trip. We will continue this fundraiser until the end of the year. While Jordana and Margaret are planning their trip for early August, we will send our donations after their trip to Raices Texas to continue to support efforts on behalf of those people seeking refuge in the US.

photo note: doll with embroidered eyes is in the Streets of Laredo colorway. Doll with googly eyes is in the Monster Mash colorway.
