HULLE - hooded cowl -
Hulle is an old Flemish word for peat. Is was used in a stove to warm
the house. In Dutch it also means to cover something or someone.
That is exactly what this cowl-and-hood-in-one does; it keeps you
warm and when the weather circumstances are bad enough HULLE
covers your head to protect you against snow and hail.

NEEDLES
Circular needles: for rib 3 eu size
for stockinette stitch 4 eu size
You will also need: stitchmarkers
A crochet needle
A blunt embroidery needle to weave in ends
A cord drawstring of 70 cm and 2 stoppers (optional).

HULLE hooded cowl is knitted in a yarn made of lama wool. Lama wool
is strong and extremely isolating, because lama fibres are hollow and
keeps body temperature on a steady level much longer than sheep
wool. It is softer than sheep wool and the fibres are more straight,
which makes it less itchy to wear on bare skin.

YARN
For HULLE I used 4 skeins of Soft Lama van Svarta Fåret
50 g = 100 m.
GAUGE
Gauge = 20 st. and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on
needles size 4.
You could use another DK wright yarn as long as it has the same length
on 50 g skeins and equal gauge.
