Roy Trenneman, or “sweet Irish Roy” as one former girlfriend referred to him, is a disgruntled member of the IT team at Reynholm Industries. He believes he outranks Moss, his co-worker and best friend, but Moss disagrees. He does seem to have more social skills than Moss, but is too lazy and self centered to follow up on any friendship or relationship that takes any sort of effort. As much as Roy attempts to pass himself off as a macho bastard and can sometimes be rather a cad, at heart he’s actually a gentleman and a gentle man.
I Feel Delicate is a light weight cowl with delicate lace borders at the top and on the bottom. Practical for keeping a chill off the neck, either from the breeze outside or from the draft of an A/C outlet overhead, but pretty enough for a night on the town. The shape of the cowl, either tall and narrow or short and wide, may be adjusted by blocking. The birds eye lace on the top and bottom is worked on every round and will need attention, but the middle section of smooth stockinette is simple and soothing to knit.
Materials Needed:
Yarn recommended is a lace weight tussah silk single with a put up of 760 yards per 100 grams.
- @300 yards yarn
- 3.75mm (US 5) circular needle or dpns or size needed to make gauge
Gauge: 26 stitches by 34 rows over 4”/10cm in stocking stitch worked in the round, unblocked.
Size Information:
one size - sample blocked to 26.5” circumference and 16.5” height
The size of this cowl can be adjusted on the blocking mat to either be longer and thinner, or shorter and wider.
Pattern Instruction Format:
The pattern is fully written; you do not need to refer to the charts to knit this pattern.
The pattern is also partially charted; the lace borders are charted, but the plain knit middle is written only. These instructions are included on the chart pages for ease of reference.
