When I woke up yesterday, the world was white once again. I actually think, that it is beautiful, but I hate the cold. I am starving for sunshine, for knitting in my garden while listening to the birds singing. I want to see my geese and chicken hatchlings being happy outside and I want to see those butterflies.

Last spring this somehow crossed my mind and it took me this long to form it into a pattern.

The socks are knitted toe up. The star toe was just the dot above the i for this one, so I had to chose that. Any other toe or heel would also be possible.

The pattern does not include instructions for Judy’s magic cast on. These can easily be found for free on the internet.

Get some nice spring colored yarn and knit your own butterflies.
