I saw a christmas card a while back. It had those arrow-tipped christmas trees on it. I actually started to twist stitches in my head and planned a sweater.

But first I wanted to test the knitability in a pair of socks.

So the Murphy socks were born.

First I used a mini set and just went along. The second pair was a doublefun-set. These are just perfect for this.

Those are knitted toe up, because that is the way the christmas trees stand. You can use any number of colors, even a single color would look great.

It is really important to go up a needle size, if you are a tight knitter.

I included charts and also written instructions. The pattern has been test knit. I am thankful for my wonderful test knitters.
