Icarus is a unisex hat, worked in the round (seamlessly). It is knitted in a combination of fingering weight yarns that have a lovely sheen which emphasizes the beauty of the textured stitch pattern. The brim is slightly elongated at the sides and back so as to cover the ears and protect them from the cold.

Construction:

Icarus Hat is worked in the round, bottom up. Short rows are used while working the brim to slightly elongate it at the sides and back. The textured stitch pattern is very simple to work as only one color is used in each round.

Techniques used: decreasing, short rows and able to follow chart (or written instructions).

Note that links to tutorials are included in the pattern instructions for all the techniques used.
