This stranded colorwork pattern is worked in the round and includes an alternating motif of an icelandic sheep and a traditional fair isle snowflake. The pattern repeats three times to create the headband. This pattern has long floats that require catching, making this an intermediate difficulty project.

Yarn:
Approximately 30 yd of DROPS Big Merino: 07 Jeans Blue
Approximately 30 yd of DROPS Big Merino: 01 Off White

Gauge:
4 in (10 cm) rows= 20 stitches
4 in (10 cm) columns= 22 stitches

This pattern is written as “one size its all” with two inches of negative ease. The finished product with the above gauge measures 19.5 in (50 cm). If your head measurements are significantly larger or smaller than mine, adjust gauge or add columns of the main color between colorwork motifs for a comfortable fitting headband.
