❄️ This is a cowl suitable for a Snow Queen! ❄️

The Icicle Cowl is a thick, chunky stand-up cowl with delicate beaded droplets around a picot edge.
The cowl has an easy, two-colour pattern that imitates snow-capped mountains and is decorated by sparkly icicle droplets all around the top. The knitted icicles are weighted with pearl beads for an eye-catching finish.

The pattern includes matching fingerless gloves which have a simple two-colour pattern mimicking the snow topped cowl.
Knitted in Stylecraft DK but most DK yarns would be suitable except perhaps cottons and bamboo yarns as they would be too floppy.
The cowl is knitted in the round with the yarn held double on 6mm circular needles. The icicles and gloves are knitted on 3.75mm needles with the yarn held singly.

The pattern assumes a basic knowledge of knitting such as casting on and binding off etc. Step pics and other helpful images are included as well as a chart to follow for the snowy pattern.

The cowl and gloves look good in any two contrasting colours and it doesn’t have to be ‘snowy’ at all but more ‘snazzy’ if you like, as you can see in the pictures.
