Idun's potholders
Simple everyday potholders for the kitchen. They are knitted double-stranded for extra thickness to avoid burning your hands. Practical, rustic and with that homemade look that brings you back to your grandmother’s kitchen. The Idun potholder comes with a loop that makes it easy to hang on hooks. This makes it easy to grab them while making your favourite dish. This pattern is great for beginners. So if you are learning to knit, but want to make something useful for everyday life, look no further.
Yarn: 200g* Drops Paris (100% Cotton 50g =75m)
Samples:
Beige sample in Drops Paris in colour 67
Brown sample in Drops Paris in colour 44
Needles: 5mm circular needles or 5mm DPNs (double pointed needles).
Gauge: 13 sts per 10 cm in stockinette.
Finished measurements: 18x18 cm
Extra: Tapestry needle to secure loose ends.
Pattern notes:
* The total usage is just over 100g. If you stop at 17 cm you may get away with only buying 100g. However, I do recommend making the full length to avoid burning your hands.
You can choose to make a hanging loop to conveniently hang them up on display in the kitchen in between cooking.
