Lets face it: knitting is most enjoyable when you don’t need to check the charts or twist the stitches. Iisi Hat is made for those moments. All you need to do is to work basic ribbing and decrease for the crown. The style of Iisi Hat is still super cool and urban. Knit tight, use the yarn that has some twist on it and stay in the gauge to get the best result.

MATERIALS
Yarn:
Black version: 65 (70) 75 g of Sandnes Sunday (100 % merino wool – 235 m / 257 yds / 50 g), color black (9882), and 30 (35) 35 g of Gepard Garn Kid Seta (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk - 210 m / 220 yds / 25 g), color black (407). The hat is worked with holding both yarns together.
Beige version: 65 (70) 75 g of Sandnes Sunday (100 % merino wool – 235 m / 257 yds / 50 g), color almond (2511), 30 (35) 35 g of Hedgehog Fibres Kidsilk Lace (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk - 420 m / 460 yds / 50 g), color Bramble. The hat is worked with holding both yarns together.

Needles: 2.5 mm (US1.5) long circular needle for magic loop or 40 cm / 16” circular needle and DPNs.

Notions: 8 removable st markers (1 different for BOR), tapestry needle.

Gauge: 36 sts x 40 rnds = 10 cm / 4” of ribbing without any stretching.

Tip! If you don’t like wearing mohair, you can use any yarn that goes to gauge. The hat should be more tight than loose after finishing just because it gets wider on use.
