You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.--Oprah Winfrey

With all of the different weights of yarn available to crocheters, many times the laceweight yarns are overlooked and are thought to be too tedious. But, for a truly lightweight crochet project I encourage you to try a laceweight yarn! You will be amazed at the results.

For Inner Light, I used a size F hook and two skeins of Brooklyn Tweed laceweight yarn, Vale (450yards/50 grams) to create a piece that is as light as air. And Vale comes in 14 soft, beautiful colors!

Inner Light starts at the bottom point and is crocheted upwards in straight rows forming a large right-angle triangle. The main body of the scarf is an easy two-row repeat and the lace section is a four-row repeat. Both stitch patterns each form an open mesh and are open and airy, making this a great Summer crochet project.

Inner Light has ample width so that you can wear it as a scarf or a shawl.

So, if you are ready for a truly lightweight crochet scarf with easy and relaxing stitch patterns, this pattern is for you!
