This hat pattern came about because I was wanting a hat that had texture, would look good in a plan color, variegated or stripes. And the stripes had to have lots of options for stripes. I had an idea of what I wanted before I went to bed one night, I tried to sleep but couldn’t because I was trying to figure out how to make this hat work, suddenly at 3 AM it came to me, I jumped out of bed and spent the rest of the morning and that day perfecting my hat. I just love how it turned out!

• Yarn Needle for weaving in ends
