This sock is designed to fit a small/medium/large foot but the lace will give it a stretchier fit, I advise a little negative ease in length and width to give a comfortable fit inside shoes.
The sock is knitted using 56, 64, 72 stitches, both socks are identical, the pattern is a mix of written and charted instructions with an afterthought heel using circular needles but DPNs can be substituted using 2 for the sole stitches and 2 for the instep.

I designed this sock to compliment the yarn I dyed for my local Lys Lanae in Grenoble.
As winter is coming I was inspired by snow falling, the bright sparkly fresh snow glinting in the winter sun is reflected in the white of the yarn, the pink tones looks like tiny lace flowers all over the sock.
There is not only snowflake motifs on the sock but extra sparkle with the addition of beads if you want, the beads are charted.

This pattern is for an intermediate knitter.

You will need:

  • 8g beads 8/0 (depending how long you will knit the cuff and the size you have chosen)
(I used 144 Toho beads 8/0 in gold lustered raspberry for both socks)
  • 0,6 mm crochet hook to add the beads (or dental floss if you prefer)
  • Stitch markers
  • Scrap yarn in cotton and in a contrasting colour - approx. 50-70 cm (for the heel)
  • Tapestry needle to sew in the ends
