Nearly a plain jersey sock knitted toe-up. Just a ladder on the outer side on each sock, which is knitted in 2 contrasting colours to keep knitting interesting.

This pattern is perfect for using all those leftover sock yarns we all have in stash. It will look great with a short gradient yarn for the background colour of the zebra crossing. You can use matching colours for the main colour and the toe/heel/ribbing but you need a contrasting yarn for the background colour of the pattern.

I used 3 leftover yarns: one variegated in blue/gray/green as main colour, one solid colour in blue for the toe and ribbing and a semisolid in red for the background of pattern and the heel. Feel free to play with your leftovers ;)

The pattern is written for 60, 64 and 68 sts with short row heel and gusset.
