Jacobina Mitts
The Jacobina Mitts are a part of the Jacobina Set, a knitting pattern for Fair Isle style accessories. The pattern is an “ebook” and also comes with instructions for the hat.
The ribbing is knitted with US Size 2/ 2.75mm needles and the charted colorwork is knitted with US Size 3/ 3.25mm needles.
The mitts are worked in the round using double-pointed needles or other preferred needles for small circumference knitting.
The design on the back of the hand is the same as the palm, thus there is no left or right mitt. Just make two mitts and you have a pair!
The thumb gussets are created by making increases as you knit in the round. This style of thumb hole makes for a very comfortable mitt.
These fingerless mitts are made with fingering weight 100% wool from the Knit Picks Palette line. The whole set can be made with one ball of each color. If you are knitting just the mitts you will need:
