This pattern includes a cardigan, a waistcoat or vest, and a hat that will match both. The cardigan can be made with or without sleeves. This pattern is ideal for a boy as there are no shells or other girlie features.

This pattern is for preemie only.

The waistcoat has 1 button at the start of the V neckline, and the cardi has 3 buttons at the top. But remember that these are for a preemie, so the less buttons the better. The cardi would be fine with just 1 button at the top.

Materials
Yarn: All 3 items can be made with less than 100g of DK yarn.
Hooks in sizes 4 and 4.5mm
Small 1cm or 1/2 inch buttons

Knowledge
You will need to know how to start the hat using the magic loop. Both the cardigan and waistcoat are started using Foundation Double Crochet. Other stitches: chain, slip stitch, double crochet. Basic sewing skills.

Other notes
Turning chain/first stitch of row: the norm is to make 2ch and this counts as your first dc stitch. However, this can lead to gaps in the crochet. So for the cardigan and waistcoat, I am recommending 1ch as your turning ch, and this WILL count as your first stitch. Full instructions are included.

The Name
I have called this collection Jade as the colour green relates to nature, and is the colour of healing and vitality. And it is the colour of the Heart Chakra, connected with love.
