Jali socks
This pattern is inspired by my love of Indian food, the yarn and the jali. A jali is an Indian architectural decoration – an ornamental patterned and perforated stone or latticed screen which allows light and air in while minimising the sun and rain and providing passive ventilation to cool.

The jali patterning emerges from the toe and the heel flap, and flows all the way to the cuff.

These socks whilst they might look complicated, are relatively simple. They are worked toe up and feature a wedge toe and heel flap.
