Vintage vase
Vintage vase
When I first saw a stunning vintage vase with flowers motif, I could not resist the challenge of modifying and working it into a sock design.
The plain foot compliments the design, allowing the vase and flowers to be the star of the show. There are some extremely long floats but using the ladderback jacquard (LBJ) technique to manage these floats produce a lovely finish with some stretch.
These socks are knitted toe up and feature a rounded wedge toe and heel flap and gusset. The heel flap is worked in slipped stitch pattern.
If toe up is not to your liking, I have included some basic information for working your socks cuff down.
