PDF Crochet pattern for my cute, chunky Jam Jam Sweater Vest. Pattern includes sizes S, M and L. It features a beautifully faux knit ribbing, high mock turtleneck and cropped length. This pattern uses slip stitch ribbing and yarn over slip stitch in third loop ribbing. While it is not a beginner pattern, if you are experienced in crocheting and pattern reading, and comfortable with the stitches used, it should be simple enough for your first garment.

This pattern is made with a 6mm/J hooks and uses approximately 850 meters of sport weight yarn, and 850 meters of lace weight yarn for size S. It is a written pattern with step by step instructions, no images for each step. It is in English and uses standard US terminology, with specifics given in both metric and imperial units.

The design draws inspiration from the Saturdays of my childhood, when my mom would take me to a candy store, called Jam Jam, to let me go ham at the pick and mix. I usually ended up with a bag full of pastel colored rock candy. It tasted like sugar and nothing else, made my tongue curl and my teeth hurt, and still they were my favorites simply because they were so pretty. A little like this vest.
