Yarn & materials

Suggested yarn types:
Merino Extra Fine by Drops Design or Merinoull by Sandnes Garn. Both are 105 m (115 yds) per 50 g (1.8 oz). You can also use other 8 ply / DK yarn.

You need about 25–30 grams (less than one skein) to make one cozy.
For the contrasting colors, you only need a small amount of leftovers.

Tip:
I recommend using a compressible yarn — that is, yarn that looks kind of thick but flattens nicely when pressed between your fingers. This helps you achieve full petals while keeping the flower centers small.

Hook:
3 mm (C/2 or D/3). Use a smaller hook than usual for your yarn to keep the flower centers tight.
