The Jay Top is a stockinette loose fitting top, it features a stockinette folded collar and wider armholes. The body length can be customized choosing between cropped, regular, or your preferred length.
It has no ease around the bust to make it fit just right, but if you prefer a looser fit, you can opt for a bigger size. The armholes are wider than standard tops to give that loose and chill vibe to it, although the length can also be slightly shortened and adjusted.
This top is perfect for spring and summer, or as an in-between-seasons garment.
If used in the warmer months it can be styled with a bandeau underneath, or over a bikini, while in colder seasons with a long sleeve shirt.
Note: the name Jay is from the bird Jay, particularly the Eurasian Jay.

Construction:
It is worked top-down. The upper back panel is worked first, then the upper front panel. The upper front panel will be worked in two sides which are then joined to create the neckline. Finally you will join the upper back and front panels to work the rest of the body in the round.
Finishing up with the bottom hem, armholes edges and folded collar.

Techniques:
knitting flat, knitting in the round, german short rows, increasing, backwards loop cast-on, picking up stitches, i-cord edging, folded hem (optional), folded collar worked with tapestry needle.
