Knitting Pattern for a Smaller Triangular Scarf with an Eye-Catching Wave-Lace-Pattern and I-Cord Edgings (One Size)

Structure:
The scarf is worked in a classic, triangular shape with increases before and after the edge stitches and before and after the middle stitch. This leads to 4 increases in total in every right side row. In wrong side rows, no increases are worked.
The wave-lace-pattern is worked all over the entire scarf and is emphasized by using two different colours: The lace-pattern section is worked in the main colour, the garter stitch stripes are worked in the contrast colour to emphasize the wave-like look.
As soon as the last section in lace pattern in the main colour is finished, you switch to the contrast colour and bind off all stitches with an applied I-cord edging in the contrast colour. To finish off the longer side of the triangular scarf, you pick up stitches in the contrast colour along the side to bind it off with the contrast colour as well.
After washing and blocking, the wave-lace-pattern really blooms and the scarf has the potential to be turned into a favorite companion during autumn and winter.

Materials:

• Version 1: Main Colour (e.g. “Sakura”): 50 g Cashmere Classic by Cardiff Cashmere (110m/50g) Contrast Colour (e. g. “Hermès”): 50 g Cashmere Classic by Cardiff Cashmere (110m/50g)

• Version 2: Main Colour (e. g. “Muskat“): 20 g Roma by Lamana Yarns (160m/20g) Contrast Colour (e. g. ”Bobby Blue“): 100 g Arroyo by Malabrigo Yarns (192m/100g)

• 3.5 mm circular knitting needles, optional DPNs in the required size for the I-cord edging

• 1 darning needle

• Stitch markers or leftovers

Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 22 sts x 34 rs in pattern on 3.5 mm knitting needles (wet blocked)
Please note that the pattern will grow a lot after washing and blocking!
