Description
The Jingjing (静静) Cardigan is named after my Chinese name, meaning calm or tranquil. It is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning at the neckline. German short rows are used to shape the neckline while raglan increases create the yoke. The sleeves are then placed on hold and the body is worked flat to the hem. The sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and worked in the round with decreases toward the cuffs. An applied i-cord is worked along both front edges and around the neckline. The cardigan is finished with three pairs of horizontal i-cord ties sewn to the fronts, with optional i-cord wrist ties and hook-and-eye closure at the neckline.
