Background of the design
Every pattern has a story, and this one comes with its own path. Originally commissioned and tailored with a different intention, I even thought I could outsmart the infamous “sweater curse” by naming it “Jinx Shield Attire”. However, I soon learned that even the most meticulously designed pattern sometimes requires an unexpected revision: the “sweater curse” may be just a crafting superstition, but life has its own way of unravelling expectations. I fell short and am limited by my own struggles. I am now only hoping he finds the happiness, peace and fulfilment he deserves on a gentle journey ahead.

The completed attire eventually found its way to my steadfast friend Fan (the cute dude modelling in the picture), who has always been there for a heartbroken me through life crises. I renamed the design as “Journey Starts Anew” and I want to reflect a lesson I learned: I am able to transform loose threads into something beautiful, and every finished project marks both an ending and a beginning.

As you wear your “Journey Starts Anew”, I hope it brings comfort and joy, a tangible reminder that creativity carries us forward.

Thank you for your support and happy knitting !
