This Jumbo Crochet Hook is a fun addition to your craft room! I made it originally for my daughter so that she could have a baby-safe crochet hook to play with while I got crafty sitting next to her. It is the perfect size for small hands to grasp and for small mouths to teeth on. Made in the amigurumi style of crochet, it is really quick and easy for a confident beginner to make. It takes less than 50 yards of yarn, so it is the ultimate stash-buster project. You can even include a stiffening agent like a dowel or some wire inside so that this can be used to hook a few stitches (instead of as a toy)!

I made a worsted weight version with a 4.25 mm (G) crochet hook and a DK cotton version with a 3.25 mm crochet hook. Since this item is amigurumi, no gauge is listed, but make sure your stitches are tight so that the hook will be stiff when stuffed and the stuffing won’t poke through!
