For the scarf pictured, I used just about the full ball of #6 Super Bulky yarn in the big ball size - 431 yards. You can easily adjust the size of scarf you want by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches in your foundation chain (for length) and increasing or decreasing the number of rows worked (for width).
