rsc = reverse single crochet (crab stitch)
Additional Terms:
Working in the 3rd loop of an hdc: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V” made by the “yarn over”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is the yarn over and is called the 3rd loop.
Bean Stitch: insert hook into designated stitch, YO, draw up loop 3 times, YO, draw through all 6 loops on hook, ch 1. Here’s a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVSMJh2wyac
Bobble Stitch: YO, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops, 5 times, YO, draw through 4 loops, YO, draw through all remaining loops on hook.
Picot Single Crochet (psc) (also known as the Granule Stitch): Insert hook, yo, pull up a loop, yo, draw through 1 loop 3 times to make a ch 3, then yo, and draw through both loops on the hook. Pull your ch-3 sp towards the front of your work instead of pushing it toward the back.
Chainless starting hdc: with slip knot on hook, YO, insert hook into first stitch of row, YO draw up a loop, YO, draw through all 3 loops on hook
sp/sps = space/spaces
ch/chs = chain/chains
Prev = previous
sk = skip
