The Juniper hat is inspired by my love of family walks and exploring forests whilst listening to birdsong and the sounds of nature. The cable pattern represents the tall trees and woodland textures, and creates a warm and stretchy fabric for the hat.

Charts are included for the main body of the hat in addition to written line by line instructions.

Yarn: The pattern uses approximately 132yds/121m (75g) of worsted weight yarn for the medium size or
170yds/156m (96g) of worsted weight yarn for the large size. The sample shown is the large size and uses one
100g skein of Walcot Yarns Opus (sport weight yarn) (70% Falkland Merino, 30% Baby Alpaca) held double in the
“Ivy” colourway (355yds/325m per 100g).

Recommended Needle Size: 3.75mm (US Size 5) and 4.5mm (US Size 7) on 16 inch circular and 32 inch circular
cables (for magic loop) or DPNs. Needle sizes are a guideline, please adjust the needle size if necessary to obtain
gauge.

Gauge: 16 sts / 28 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch
