From just 1 skein (100g) of yarn you can make an usable sized shawl, but the pattern can be adjusted easily to the amount of yarn you have.

From 1 skein you can make an 155 cm wide and 40 cm depth shawl. Naturally if you have more yarn you can make significantly larger shawl.
You can make warmer shawl with thicker yarn, for example DK weight yarn, in this case I recommend min. 200 g of yarn.

The first and most important step is to measure the exact weight of your yarn, a kitchen scale does the job and I strongly suggest to read the entire pattern before you start knitting.
You can purchase this yarn by Kis kos, but any other fingering weight yarn will work.
