✨ Welcome to my Kaleidoscope Dreams Granny Square pattern!

The Kaleidoscope Dreams Square is one of three designs I created for a Learn-a-Long event with Crochet Australia, where we explored fun colour techniques.

This design is all about creating your very own dream square using your favourite colour combinations. Each square comes together like a kaleidoscope—bursting with colour, movement, and individuality.

Make as many squares as you like and join them using your preferred method to create a stunning blanket, throw, cushion, or anything your imagination dreams up. Every project will be uniquely yours, with a beautiful kaleidoscope effect that’s full of personality.

The possibilities are endless! I used mine to make a crochet bag—perfect as a project bag or a roomy market bag. It’s a fabulous size that fits so much, while showing off all that gorgeous colour and texture.

You’ll need:

3.5mm Hook, Yarn needle, Scissors, Pins, Stitch markers, Blocking equipment.

Yarn per square: 8ply yarn - I’ve used Fiddlesticks Wren 8ply Cotton 50gms / 125m

C1 = Colour 1 – Mandarin W017 used 11gms

C2 = Colour 2 – Marigold W050 used 10gms

C3 = Colour 3 – Butter W004 used 7gms,

C4 = Colour 4 – Ocean W046 used 48gms

 

For my bag: I used the left over yarns to create a joining border and the handles.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Finished Size: 32cm x 32cm square when blocked

  The pattern includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions written in English for both UK and US terms, plus plenty of helpful photos to guide you through each step.
