I recently picked up a copy of the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible by Hitomi Shida and fell in love with it! Shortly after that I was given a skein of lush dark purple-blue yarn by Nicole from Medusa Yarn and Fiber and I knew what to do with it. I picked pattern number 19 from the book and knitted up a cowl I absolutely adore. Of course, I didn’t write down what i did, so I had the perfect excuse to pick up a super soft skein of Gloria from Manos del Uruguay. I took careful notes, and the finished projects reminded me of pinwheels, Kazaguruma in Japanese. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I have!

All rounds include checkboxes. Rounds 1-25 have two because you’ll be repeating those rounds. If you are using the chart you should only need the chart page once you have gotten the needle, yarn, and gauge info. If you’re not a chart person you don’t need to look at that page at all.
