Keely Bear Bonnet
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Description
This bonnet is worked flat, starting with a 1x1 ribbed edge. The main body begins flat in stockinette stitch. Two ear sections are established with markers. Ears are shaped using increases. After the increase section, a decrease sequence gathers all stitches of each ear. The work is then joined to be knit in the round. The crown is shaped using decreases at three points. Ties worked as an I-Cord.
A Note on Gauge: To ensure a perfect fit this pattern is structured by gauge (seven gauge ranges 12 - 24 (in stitches per 4” / 10 cm). It is highly recommended to knit a swatch in Stockinette stitch, wash, and block it to accurately measure your gauge and choose the correct version of the pattern for your project.
